I was blessed to know Mary. I fondly remember attending a retreat with Mary and her mother. Dennis, you are all in my prayers during this difficult time.

I am so very shocked and saddened to hear that Marykate has passed. She was gregarious, kind, compassionate, funny, generous and so much more. I wish she could have seen herself the way many of us did. MaryKate, I will miss you. I hope you find the peace and comfort that you so deserve.

Ah, Miss Mary. What a loss. I will never forget meeting you when I was 16, my first job at Holiday Theaters, when you grilled me about who I was and when I started (we were, after all, at different locations: you at Theater 1 and me at Theater 6). That trepidation quickly passed as you welcomed me and gave me the who, what, where and when of staff and offered to stand by my side if anyone gave me a hassle! I was glad to have you as an ally, as I'm sure many in your life felt the same. You spoke your mind, you valued differences, you fought for the underdog and you stood your ground. Grateful that you made it out to Los Angeles with Annette and that you patronized my restaurant with the same vigor and spirit that I will always remember you for. I'm glad to have known you, Mary Monagle, and I'm truly heartbroken for your closest friends and family.

I'm so sorry for your loss and still in shock, as I'm sure you are too. Mary was a good friend in grade school at st. Charles. I remember we where riding bikes and eating a cone and she lost control, fall off her bike and the cone was stuck to her forehead. Still makes me laugh til this day. Always keep these memories with you in your heart and share them so her great life will live on. Miss you mary...til we meet again💙 Nancy Heck

I am so sorry that Mary's light is no longer in the world. We were inseparable during high school, and while we grew apart over the years, I remember her as smart, funny, and kind. I will miss you, my fellow Sweeney Sister.
