Personal note

We laid Mary to rest today. We appreciate the in-person and live stream participants during her service today.
The recorded session can be found at her celebration of life page for those unable to make the service this morning.

Mary is interred with her mother at the Mother Guerrin columbarium at Catholic Cemetery in Fort Wayne.

We appreciate all of the donations for her funeral and ALL funds have been directly applied to funeral services provided by Divine Mercy.

Update from Nov. 8, 2021

Here is a revised Obituary for Mary.

Mary Kay Monagle, 51, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on August 29th, 2021 from natural causes. Mary was born October 20, 1969 in Athens Georgia to Bill and Kathy Monagle. She was predeceased by her mother Kathy in April of 2011 and her grandmother Mary Vahey, brother Thomas Vahey and sister Mary Juliani all of Natick, MA. She is survived by her father Bill (Nancy) of Ione, Oregon and her brother Dennis (Andrea) of California, Maryland along with several nieces (Thea, Eliza, Claire, Abby) nephew (Devon), stepmother Nancy, stepbrother Justin Miller and stepsisters Kristen Miller and Kara Gentry and their children Payton, Piper, and Rhett Miller, Kadence and Madison Gentry, several first cousins in Massachusetts and Oregon and countless good friends and associates. Mary had childhood homes in Athens Georgia, Bryan Texas, Bolingbrook Illinois and Fort Wayne Indiana. She attended St Charles Borromeo Catholic School and graduated from Bishop Dwenger Highschool in Fort Wayne in 1988. She took her nursing training at Lutheran Hospital and received her BSN from St. Francis College. Mary had a registered nursing career spanning over 25 years and took care of thousands of patients. She will be remembered as a loving and caring spirit whose presence will always be with us.
A funeral service will be held at the Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, Saturday November 20 at 11 am. A reception will follow at the St. Charles Borromeo Parish Hall, 4916 Trier Rd, Fort Wayne. All are invited to visit Mary’s memorial pages on Facebook (The Celebration of Mary Monagle), and the memorial site https://everloved.com/life-of…. Her service will be live streamed on both sites. Bill and Dennis, returning to our home place of Fort Wayne, look forward to seeing many old friends.
