We sincerely apologize for the impersonal nature of this notice, especially for close friends and family who may be hearing about our mom's passing for the first time.

Mom went into cardiac arrest while in the hospital to address issues related to congestive heart failure. Because she left us very clear healthcare directives, her passing was peaceful and on her own terms. It has not been an easy time and we miss her very much as she was such a huge part of our daily lives but we also know there are many grieving with us. Sharing memories keeps loved ones alive, so please feel free to contact either or both of us directly. We'd love to hear from you.

Born in Detroit, Michigan on April 17, 1937, Mary graduated from Grosse Pointe High School; earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan; and an M.A. in Russian Studies from New York University.
Mary was deeply committed to her family, her community, and the Unity Temple Unitarian Universalist Congregation. An avid sports fan, she cheered loudest for the Detroit …
