Mary's obituary
Mary Laura Freel passed away peacefully over the night of June 4-5th, 2024 surrounded by her three daughters, two sons-in-law, and other friends and family, all of whom she loved and cared for beyond words in ways only Mary could.
She will be remembered for her big kind heart, the love she had, her laugh, her smile, her jokes, her long advice phone calls even for a total stranger if they needed it, her generosity, and she regularly showed it all at every possible opportunity, to all she could. She wasn’t always perfect, as is always the case barring The Lord himself. But there are very few people out there willing to strive for being a good and kind person as much as she did. Each time she fell she got right back up again and provided her daughters with an example of persistence we all could look to for inspiration. No other member of the family took so much convincing and so long to come around in supporting the men her two eldest daughters chose to spend their lives with but, when she did come around, no other relative can say that they welcomed those two men, more than Mary did. We love you Mom and we cannot believe that you’re already gone! Please watch over us from the next world and continue to be our devoted mother, our beloved mother in law, our cherished friend, our adored sister, and our precious daughter while you wait for us in the world to come. You will be missed by each and every one of us and we are counting the days until we get to join you in paradise!
