Mary's obituary

Mary Kramer, a caring and loving soul, left this world on December 27, 2024, having enriched the lives of those she touched since her birth on September 1, 1955. Mary's loving spirit and kind heart will be deeply missed, yet fondly remembered by those who were fortunate enough to experience it.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce Kramer, and her cherished children, daughters Jackie Cook and Terri Fleming, and sons Michael Laney and Jason Roether. She also leaves behind her caring siblings, sister Gema Humphries and brother Grant Helms. Mary's immense love for her family was obvious to all, especially given her favourite hobby of spending time being a wonderful Grammy to her group of very spoiled grandkids.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, Jackson and Merle Helms of Monroe, NC and her brother, Jackson Helms Jr of Charlotte, NC. Her memory will continue to live brightly in the hearts of her family and friends, even as they mourn her passing.

Known for her fondness for the simple pleasures in life, Mary enjoyed savoring an ice-cold Coke, getting lost in the rhythmic melodies of The Oldies, and challenging her mind with puzzles. She had a particular fondness for the historic charm of old bridges and spent many peaceful afternoons exploring these local landmarks.

In remembering Mary, we celebrate a caring, loving woman who nurtured deeply and loved without reservation. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched, both within her family and in the wider community. As we say our goodbyes, we will hold a space for Mary in our hearts, remembering her not just for the love she gave but also for the joy and warmth she brought into our lives.
