She and I were both born 3/13/1986 I'm her birthday pal I will always miss Marry. I should have told her how I felt about her 20 years ago. May Jesus allow her home. Amen

Before I was 10, I remember one of my earliest memories of Mary was when my family had helped to move her out of her apartment in Des Moines. It was the first time I had ever seen it, and I was struck by the Tim-Burtonesque artwork, posters, and aesthetic that she had at the time. She even took good care of a pet lizard of sorts. Having someone unafraid to wear their interests on their sleeve struck a chord with me, and I found myself developing a love for similar works as hers later. She was one of the coolest people I had ever known for said reasons amongst others and had left a big impression on me. However, Mary is much more than her interests. The best attribute of hers to me was her genuineness. There's a handful of people I know that can address others as "sweetheart" or "sweetie" and sound genuine. Mary was one of them. She had a genuine love for her nieces, nephews, and family in general, and it was easy to notice if you had just talked to her. She was sweet and sincere, and having her gone so soon makes my heart ache. I love you, Mary, and I hope Heaven is warmer and more comforting to you than any of us had ever dreamed of.
