I never stop missing you MJ.  Your canine namesake JoJo is a  sweetheart like you always were.  She keeps me saying your name.  Still ride around with your picture in my car.   Aunt Nora is with you now so I’m sure there’s a big party going on.  Love you Sis, always. 😘

I cant believe it has been 4 years since you left us. I think about you and the joy you brought to all of us with your humor and that contagious smile. You are still and always will be in my prayers.

Paul

my dear sister, it has been over a year and  still doesn't seem real that you are gone.  I thought I could finally write something without crying but it didn't work.  I miss you every day.  I hope you and my Eddie and loving heaven together.  I adopted/rescued a 3rd pup from Corpus Christi, TX  a year ago in your honor and named her JoJo after you.  She was scheduled to be euthanized & I had her pulled just in time. She is truly a sweetheart like you - but stubborn too (like you).  I couldn't save your life so I saved another believing that your spirit is in her so I can enjoy your memory every day.  Sleep well, little sis until we meet again. XOXOXO

Mary Jo was my cousin. I just found out she passed away. I am really saddened and was looking forward to meeting her. Rest in peace Mary Jo!.♡

Mary Jo's was my dearest cousin. There are so many beautiful, joyous memories and holidays and pictures in my head of her, it is difficult to write it all down. Her wonderful smile, her hugs when we got back together, wonderful dinner parties drinking wine, her true love of life and family. God really got a fabulous angel with Mary Jo. Always love you and miss you, until we meet again.

Cousin Bonnie

I worked with Maryjo for four years.  She would do anything that was asked of her.  Maryjo would also come into the office and offer to help in any way she could during her free time.  She had a huge heart and cared about all of the students, staff and parents at Churchill Elementary School.  My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
Mary Jo was a kind and caring person who loved working with kids. She cared so much for each and every student. It was the reason she was there. I was lucky to have had the opportunity to work with her for several years at Churchill. I will always remember her smile and her giggle when she laughed. I will continue to pray for your family. Psalm 62:1 NIV My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him.

Rest In Peace, Mary Jo.

Love and Prayers,

Linda Weathers

I have so many fond memories of Mary  Jo. We became  friends in 7th grade and continued into college.  Our adult lives took us in different  directions, but the fun times we had always make  me smile.  Your laugh was contagious.  My friend,  I  know your family was your world. I'm  so sorry they lost  you, but I'm sure they will be able to smile from great memories  as I  do!
My heart and soul is bleeding for all of you, but Mary Jo sounds like a beautiful person. She is now able to spread her wings and fly, with no pain and suffering.

God Bless!

Mary jo had the rare gift of always making you feel welcome and lucky to be around her. She was a rare soul who always put others ahead of herself and worked tirelessly for her family and friends. I wish I had been able to spend more time with her but will remember her always and hope she knows how deeply she touched my life.
Mary Jo was a true warrior for humanity, the planet, and animals. I am honored to be able to say she was my friend. I will never forget coffee Mondays at Panera. Seeing your smile always set the tone for my day. We had a lot in common so conversations together came very easy. I'm sorry I didn't get to say goodbye. I'm saddened I won't be able to see you turn your backyard into the farm/garden you talked about many times. I am devastated we all lost you. My heart goes out to Chris, Matthew, Kristin, and Joey Minick. I am heart broken for your loss. I love you Mary Jo, rest in peace. xoxo
I’m so sorry she passed. She was a wonderful mentor to me at Churchill school and I will always remember her - Allison Arney
So terribly sorry for the loss of your life partner and best friend.  I pray for peace for you, Chris & comfort for your family and friends that are hurting from this huge loss.
so many years have past since I last saw Maryjo, so I am thankful for fb in that regard. Maryjo was always the little girl across the street, from a huge family of siblings. Her and my sister played together all the time. In my mind that is how I still see her when I think of her. From what I gleamed from your life you found a wonderful partner to share your life's journey, a joyful career and lovely children. I hope your life was full of love and happiness. It most certainly was not long enough and for that my heart breaks. My deepest sympathies to your family and all of those who loved you.  I pray the god provides the comfort and strength they will need in all the days to come.
I have known Mary jo since we were just little girls who grew up across the street from each other. We were the best of friends for a very long time during those years of growing up. I will never forgot spending the night at her house many times being scared of there dog , playing the ouija board in the basement and being scared to death, and playing outside in the dark for hours hide and seek. I will always have found memories of her and her family. My condolences to her family my heart breaks for you all as ❤️❤️

This is less of a story, but a memory. I got to work very closely with Mary Jo during the remote COVID year. I appreciated her her hard work, dedication to the students and our team, and her amazing skill set. My team and I would not have made it through that year without her. As the year progressed, I got to know know Mary Jo better and appreciate her for the wonderful human being she was. We went to lunch last summer break and sat on a Plainfield patio for three hours just chatting.  It was lovely :) We were unable to get together in the fall,… I was unaware that Mary Jo was ill again and thought there would be more time. There wasn’t.  I shall miss you, Mary Jo xxx

Love, Claire

MaryJo was the sweetest, most selfless person I’ve known. I was blessed to work with her and see the impact she had on the students she worked with. She gave so much of her own time to help others. She will be dearly missed.
