Mary's obituary

On Saturday, October 9th, 2021, Mary Jamison, beloved mother, sister and aunt, passed away at the age of 70 in her home in Ajijc, Mexico. Mary was born on February 17th, 1951 in Meadville, Pennsylvania to Daniel and Rita (Schmidt) Potcher. She graduated from Meadville High School in 1969 and went on to live a life of love and adventure. She raised two children, Kevin Jamison and Diane Smith.

Mary had a passion for all things beautiful. She loved the ocean, she loved the forest, she loved beautiful art, she loved animals, she simply loved it all. Anyone who knew her would know when something brought her joy because she could not contain her excitement. She enjoyed her occupation of buying houses and turning them into homes. She had an eye for detail that couldn’t be taught, it was something she was born with and it was something to behold. She was also known for her desire to help others and her ability to turn desire into action and do it. She was proud of the fact that she could help people with cancer, children with autism or epilepsy or people who were simply in pain by making them tinctures and/or oils that would change their life for the better. She was also a very generous spirit, quietly helping many people, most often anonymously because she never needed the limelight.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Dan and her mother, Rita as well as her very loved son, Kevin. She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Craig) and grandson, Jamison Glenn, as well as her sisters Judy Thomas, Diane Carlson and Janet Beatty and their children Wayne Thomas Jr. (Andrea), Ryan Thomas (Beth) and Julius Carlson as well as great nieces and nephews. At her request, no public service will be held.
