Our dear friend,
Yumi and I are deeply saddened by your loss. Mary will be truly missed by all who knew her. We admire the love and devotion that you both shared for Jehovah. You both set a fantastic example for the rest of us to follow. Many people treasured Mary's friendship, and we are grateful to have been among them.
Reading about her life has filled us with so much inspiration and joy. Her passion for studying the Bible and sharing her knowledge with others was truly admirable, and her love for people was evident in the way she lived her life.
Here are a few precious memories captured in photos from our family album that I discovered. They reflect the pioneer spirit, encouragement, joy, and happiness you brought to the island of Okinawa when you were young and serving as missionaries.

May Jehovah continue to be near you and your family during this trying time, bringing you comfort, love, and many blessings.
As Brother Anthony Morris mentioned, "What a sensational time it will be when we reunite with our loved ones."
We are grateful to have known her; I will remember her contagious laugh and love for people. (Although I have yet to try her chicken fingers, which I would like to do in paradise!😜) There may be an alternative to chicken fingers in the new system.😜
We look forward with anticipation to that time coming soon!

She has a sparkling personality and her laughter is like the pretty sound of water over rocks in a pleasant Brook.

The joy, positivity, love, humility that Bill and Mary set as an example ..it sets the bar high! Not only what they said, but their actions. How they treated each other and everyone they touched. It's really beyond words. To be with them was a "master class" in how to be a Christian every time! Like Bill said to me, the best memories are yet to come! Bill you know you 2 are spiritual grandparents to our Cory. You were her best friends when she was in her teen years. It's not possible to ever thank you enough! I pray daily Jehovah comfort you while you miss her. xoxo

I was so sorry to hear of Sister Ives' passing. I didn't know her well, but I know she did a great deal for Jehovah during her life. I know she is safe in Jehovah's memory. I look forward to hearing more of her stories in the new world.

We will always remember her smile, deep seated joy and laughter and the many pictures she took- a true reflection of her relationship with Jehovah and how much she loved people.

Our hearts break with you both as we have also lost our mothers, but the JOY we expect in the future offsets some of the pain. Your Brother and Spitural Father Doug Main Shelby West.

The ministry was in her DNA. No doubt Bill saw that it matched his DNA when they first met. Then, they passed it on to Ken.

I first met Mary and Bill in 1990, when Ken was in a drama with my sons, and I.
The guys got to be buddies, and became friends with the parents. Over the years, we spent time with them in the Japanese congregation in New York, and always had great affection for them. Mary was Cindy’s tutor in Japanese during those assemblies in NJ. When I got stranded in the Baltimore airport because of a snowstorm a number of years ago, they came to rescue me after a study, and we had a great visit! Good people, good friends, good examples for all of us! And we will see you soon!
