Mary Lois and I were teenagers together at the chapel in Washington DC. She was always ready with a smile, always with the word of encouragement. I am so glad to hear of her service in her adult years to our Lord. Dennis Chambers

It was early spring 1987 when I was selling Tupperware. I was making cold calls on the telephone from a list of phone numbers in my area and one of them happened to be the Ferraro's. Mary Lois answered the phone and said she would love to hostess a Tupperware party if I could wait until school was out as she was teaching at a local high school. I called her again when school was out and she set a date for a party. It was successful and she hosted several more. Then we were both substitute teachers for DPS and Jeffco and would occasionally see each other at a high school. Then we would meet and walk around the lake in Clement park and then go in the bookstore and talk for hours. We would talk about everything and solve many world problems. Another favorite were the ham sandwiches at Honey Baked Ham and of course we'd go in the shoe store and look, she was a good customer but I was good at looking. She was a wonderful friend and I miss her.

It was the annual Camp Elim end-of-summer outing, and I was standing in line behind Mary Lois, who I had briefly met a few weeks earlier at Littleton Bible Chapel, where my late wife Jane, my children and I had begun to worship. While we waited for the roller coaster line to move, we began to chat and discover that we had much in common through our children. Soon after Mary Lois befriended Jane, and they became very close friends--sharing deep scriptural fellowship and sharpening of one another as iron sharpens iron. They kept no secrets from each other and prayed together about their burdens at every meeting. Jane suffered a stroke in August of 1989, and Mary Lois was there for her in ever deepening sisterly affection. She visited Jane faithfully, and when Jane could drive again, she visited Mary Lois. They both told me many times how much each appreciated the other and counted on each other. Jane was carried to glory in October of 2012, and I am certain that their wonderful fellowship has begun again.

So sorry to receive the news but rejoice in her better home with the Lord. Our condolences to Paul and the boys. It has been many years since your visit with us in Rome, Italy and other visits in Colorado.
