With heavy hearts, the Otis Family announces the passing of our beloved Mary Elizabeth Otis Stoof — known to most as Mary, and to her family & friends in Spain as Maribel. Everyone who knew Mary was touched by her humor; she had a gift for laughter that could fill any room. She was a talented chef who could commandeer any kitchen, a free spirit always up for a sailing adventure on the open waters that she loved, and usually with a canine companion by her side. 

Her son, Jasper - the absolute light of her life - her parents Chari & Philip Otis, her siblings Phil, Kathryn & Alexi,  survive her. We along with her nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends and adorable pups Oh'Tis and Charlie, will miss her deeply. We are all better for the light she brought to our lives and are forever fortunate to have shared the time we did with her.

We are planning a Celebration of Life in the U.S. for July, and will follow with  a trip to our family home in Spain where we frequently shared the July birthday festivities. She will rest peacefully in the sea off the Costa de la Luz, near and dear to our hearts.
