Mary Katherine DesGeorges passed away on Friday February 7th, at the age of 94. Mary Katherine's memory will forever live on in the hearts of family and friends.

Mary Katherine DesGeorges November 25th, 1930 – February 7th, 2025
Mary Katherine DesGeorges left this world on February 7th, 2025, leaving behind a circle of family members who deeply feel the weight of her loss, and can attest to the impact of a life centered around family. She had a strong desire that her family stay bonded together with each generation.
She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph A. DesGeorges Jr. They were married for 68 years! Katherine was fiercely devoted to her family, including her 3 children and their spouses, 5 granddaughters, and two great-grandsons. She was faced with many challenges in her life, and yet always responded with grit and determination.
She leaves behind her husband Joseph; sons Joseph A. DesGeorges III (daughter-in-law Janet), John David DesGeorges, and daughter Anne Louise (DesGeorges) Sanchez (son-in-law Roy Sanchez); five granddaughters: Leah (Sister Teresa Christine); Danielle (great son-in-law Jon Greany), Sara, Mallory and Jenna; and two great-grandsons who loved their GG, Hendrix and Hudson.
Throughout her life, she was an avid reader, enjoyed skiing in her younger years, and cooking and baking for family. Her Tortillas and Red Chile were legendary.
Katherine was born in Taos NM. As the eldest of a family of nine children, they were raised by parents Anastasio and Mary Santistevan. Joe and Katherine raised their children and lived and worked in White Rock/Los Alamos for over 60 years. For many years she drove a school bus and especially loved her years driving for kids with special needs.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, Emil, Edith, Rosemarie, Emerald and Anna. She is survived by sisters Lorraine, Carol and Helen.
Wife, mom, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother …. We will miss you. We hold you in our hearts and memories.
