Mary's obituary

Vidalia,

Mrs. Frances Roberts Cooper, age 84, of Vidalia died Friday, July 7, 2017 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after a brief illness. She was a native of Toombs County and moved to Vidalia in 1959. She worked at the Shrimp Boat, Lamar’s Drugs, TG&Y, as well as Oxford Industries. She was a charter member of Grace United Methodist Church, Women’s Bowling League, and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Cooper; parents, Sim and Edna Dykes Roberts; brother, Billy Roberts; and an infant sister.

Mrs. Cooper is survived by one son, Carl Cooper and wife Dana of the Center Community; five siblings, Ben Roberts of Toombs County, Grace Hazewinkel of Columbia, South Carolina, Juanita Bullard, Carlton Roberts both of Toombs County, and Diane Winslett and husband Carlton of the Center Community; two grandchildren, Elise Cooper Dismuke and husband Craig of Lyons, and Craig Cooper and fiancè Brooke Powell of the Center Community; two great-grandchildren, Kailey Dismuke and Chasen Cooper; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday, July 10th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Kelly Newton officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens with Reverend Sue Jackson.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 until 8:00.
