Back when Aunt Mary and Uncle Jack lived in Hubbard Texas my brother Douglass and I Donnie Ray stayed with them a while so our mother her sister Betty Rae could go to college. I remember about the only thing going on there was football and cheerleading, other than the soda fountain pharmacy in town where we went every day for a chocolate coke. I eventually left for Texarkana to stay with the grandparents. Douglass stayed with them as he was the waterboy for the football team. Aunt Mary was able to teach me to read along with loving her cakes and cookies. Uncle Jack got me interested in science. We had a good time which was before Jack Douglass came along. I think it was about that time I left for Granny and Granddad Douglass up in Texarkana Texas.
Aunt Mary is missed but she'll keep them in order in Heaven. I love you Aunt Mary.

Our sincere condolences to Mrs. Schrader’s family. I graduated from Hubbard High School in 1965, and Mary was one of my teachers. Her husband, Jack, was our head football and basketball coach as well as teacher, too. I always thought a lot of them.

My deepest condolences to your family. I absolutely loved Mary, as everyone else did too. We worked together at BU for many years. We often spoke often Hubbard, teaching, Jack coaching, drill team, and sports. Mary and I shared the same name of her grandson and my son, Cole. Mary was a beautiful, always smiling soul, and a friendly, familiar face during sports seasons helping Jack at his T-shirt business downtown. Heaven has gained a great angel. May she rest in peace.

I was so sorry to read about Mary and I'm sorry for your loss. She was one of the finest women I ever knew and was my favorite teacher at Richfield High School. She made typing fun and this was long before computers made it easy! I also worked in the Business School at Baylor and loved getting reacquainted with her. My husband taught there and worked with her as well. She was beautiful inside and out and will be missed.

Jack, I am so very sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was such a kind, caring lady. She actually crossed my mind today while I was keeping the scorebook at my school's games. The kindness she showed me those many years ago while driving to Jeff-Moore away games will be a treasure in my heart always. May you find peace and joy in all the memories of her love for you. Blessings and strength be yours ~ remember, she loves you dearly, always. ✨Molly
