Wendi's obituary
Mrs. Wendi Carnell (Morris), age 81, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday August 22, 2023 in Lawrenceville, GA. She was born on June 30, 1942 in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, to Florence and Stan Morris. She was preceded in death by both her parents, her brother Stan and 2 sisters-in-law, Elaine and Lorraine. She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Michael, her daughters Cathy (Michael) and Lori (Peter), and her cherished grandchildren Kelsey and Jacob.
Wendi grew up in Southern Alberta. She met the love of her life at 17, while working one summer in Waterton National Park. She and Michael were married April 4, 1964 in Calgary, Alberta. Before then, she graduated from the University of Alberta in 1963 with Bachelors Degree in nursing . She has remained close to many of her nursing classmates throughout the last 60 years.
A Celebration of the Life of Wendi Carnell will be held on September 9, 2023 at 3:00pm at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church. 1520 Oak Rd. Snellville, GA 30078.
The service will also be live-streamed on YouTube under Stmattssnellville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or Emory University Hospital Body Donation Program.
