Mary,
As the chums swim up Barker Creek, as I remember you and I standing at the new culvert watching how your efforts on behalf of the natural world, I smile at your many accomplishments in life. Your winning of a literature contest of $10,000 enabled you to travel to India which was a lifelong dream. Attending the blessing of your beautiful labyrinth of bright red poppies and the medicine man giving blessings brought joy to all of us. Your love of family and the many stories we shared about them are imprinted into my sweet memories. And then there was Marie and her husband, the niece who came forward to carry you thru those most difficult times.
Our friendship was a very long one, and thru it all including your little temper that got you in trouble at times, we remained close friends. Your ability to put words on paper, showed your academic ability to gather us in to your world of people, places and things, like Grandma Moe's wedding ring.
I remember it all and thank you!
Fondly Judith Krigsman, Bremerton
