Mary Ann "Mimi"'s obituary

Mary Ann 'Mimi' Sullivan Long
Born November 16th 1953, our much loved sister and wife of Eddie Long, Mary Ann walked into heaven on November 19th 2025 after a lifetime of struggles and a recent illness.
Mary Ann was the 2nd daughter born to Gene (Arthur Jr) and Betty Sullivan of Houston County. She grew up on the family acreage with her sisters for playmates. The fields and trees echo still with the laughter of the sisters and many cousins and their adventures.
A graduate of Northside High, Mary Ann attended cosmetology school after graduation. Her career choice was retail sales in fine makeup first at Belks and then J C Penneys. With her perfect make-up and hair she was a walking advertisement for her products.
Many of her friends remember Mary Ann for her love of the music and culture and fashion of the 60s. From a very shy little girl , she grew up to be our "hippie " child who loved adventure and living fearlessly.
In 2018 Mary Ann married Eddie Long and moved to Macon with him. They had only a few short years together but she was much loved and cared for by her husband.
Her nieces and nephews were cherished by their Aunt Mimi. They remember her for her bohemian fashion with her hair often rainbow colored, her love of glitter and multi colored bright clothes. Mimi always sent them birthday cards covered with crazy stickers .
Her beloved parents and grandparents and her sister Debra Sullivan Hopkins all predeceased Mary Ann.
Left to miss her are her husband Eddie Long; her sisters Betty Jo (Frank) Wade of Byron, Denise Sullivan, Houston County; Alethea (Jeff)Haight, Sugar Hill and her brother Arthur (Erin) Sullivan, Houston County. Mary Ann is also survived by her much loved nieces and nephews, their spouses and children and many life long friends. Because she was a Christian we know she is in Heaven waiting on us.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date after the first of the year
