Mary's obituary

Mary Ann Alvord, 56, was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on May 28th 1967 and passed away on Monday April 8th 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Keith Alvord, mother Shirley Dickerson, and boyfriend Paul Christie. She was survived by Daughters April Alvord(Devangalo), Christina Alvord, and Courtney Alvord, as well as her grandchildren Aubrey Teeters, Damen Russell, and soon to be Devangalo Graham Jr., her father Richard Dickerson, brother John Dickerson(Sonya) and sister Betty Jones(Kirk) along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary loved her kids to the moon and back, her grandchildren were her world as well as her dogs, He-man, Peewee and Pickle. She always saw the good in people when there wasn't much to see. She was a friend to everyone, no one was a stranger to her. She had the best sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

A memorial will be held on Saturday, April 20th at 11:30 A.M. at Family First Funeral Home, 8805 Jewella Ave. We ask that you wear purple instead of black since that was her favorite color.
