Mary Beth Akin, 68, went to be with her Lord and Savior April 1, 2023. Memorial service will be held at Slater Baptist Church Saturday August 12 at 11am with graveside service to follow at Slater Cemetery. Please join in celebrating Mary's life with memories, food, and laughter.

Mary was born June 10, 1954, to Mattie Pauline and Elmer Landolt. She attended FBBC where she met the love of her life, Larry Akin. She was often seen at Walmart meeting new friends and visiting with old ones. She loved to share her testimony with others and made many friends that way.

Mary is survived by her three children Jennifer Jasper, Jillian Akin, Jeff Akin, seven grandchildren (Nichole, Hannah, Christopher, Jackie, Maddie, Birdy, and Dexter), sister JoAnn Szuch (Husband David), and four nieces (Amy, Amanda, Ava, and Olivia).

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, angel infant, husband Larry, and giant orange cat Marmalade.

Romans 14:8 "For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's."
