Martin's obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Martin Eduardo Meraz Luján, who left us on March 14, 2025, at the age of 58. Born in Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua, Mexico, on May 13, 1966, Martin made his home in San Antonio, Texas, where he built a life filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.
Martin was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Eduardo Meraz and Esperanza Luján, whom he now joins in eternal rest.
A devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, Martin is survived by his loving wife, Diana Meraz, and his two daughters, Polet and Salma (Greg Vargas), who were his greatest pride. He also leaves behind his cherished siblings: Gloria Ramos, Luzma (Anselmo) Molina, Manuel (Ana) Meraz, Yolanda (Rubén) Gamboa, Ramón (Angélica) Meraz, Jesús (Tere) Meraz, Víctor (Blanca) Meraz, and Óscar (Cecilia) Meraz, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Martin was known for his infectious humor and his ability to make anyone feel at home. He had a way of keeping spirits high, turning any gathering into a celebration, and was always the one who could get people to share their stories and laughter. A lifelong pressman by trade, he was also passionate about working on his cars and listening to music, both of which brought him immense joy. He loved his novelas and treasured time spent talking with friends and family, always eager to catch up on the latest news.
His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of laughter, warmth, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
