Martin Luther was a German monk who forever changed Christianity when he nailed his '95 Theses' to a church door in 1517, sparking the Protestant Reformation. Luther was born on November 10, 1483, in Eisleben, Saxony, located in modern-day Germany. At 14, Luther went north to Magdeburg, where he continued his studies.
