Martin "Marty" Harris, fondly known as Marty, was born on December 19, 1946, and passed away on September 5, 2025. A man of multiple dimensions, he was deeply loved and respected by his family and community. Marty is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Georgette Harris; his devoted children, Toni Harris, Marc Woods, Kelly Harris, Jeni Harris, Ray Harris, Dusty Harris, Sandi Harris, and Teri Harris. His love and teachings will remain with them forever, guiding them through their lives. Martin was predeceased by his cherished mother, Jeanette Harris, and his dear daughter, Anett Harris. Marty was a man of many hobbies, with a particular fondness for woodworking and exploring electronics. These recreational activities brought him great joy and fulfillment, often serving as a peaceful retreat from his professional responsibilities. As a proud Vietnam Veteran, Marty was deeply committed to the cause of supporting his fellow veterans. Over the years, he diligently supported numerous veterans' organizations, including the DAV, VFW, American Legion, AMVETS, VVA, and MOPH. His dedication and commitment to these causes were an inspiration for many. In addition to his service in the Armed Forces, one of Martin's greatest accomplishments was dedicating 20 years of service as an Environmental Engineer for the U.S. Postal Service. His service in both the Navy and Marines, along with his professional accomplishments, stand testament to his unwavering sense of duty and commitment. Marty's legacy will continue to inspire and motivate those who were fortunate to know him. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of his family and friends.
