Marty's obituary
Martin "Marty" Corigliano, 80, of Imperial Beach, CA, peacefully passed away on October 08, 2022, surrounded by loved ones, while in Together Hospice Care.
Marty was born on May 09, 1942, in the bustling city of Brooklyn, NY. Marty attended John Adams High School in Ozone Park Queens, NY, and in 1960 he enlisted in the US Navy where he served his tour of duty on the USS Kitty Hawk. In 1964, he met his wife Paulette, and they went on to have two children.
Marty loved his country and the communities in which he lived. He was always the first one to lend a hand or help out in a crisis. He was a gentle soul, loved by all he touched with his words and wisdom.
Marty is survived by his wife of 58 years, Paulette "Cookie" Corigliano; son Paul Corigliano) & his husband Timothy Black of Imperial Beach, CA; daughter Linda Corigliano Burns & husband Larry Burns; three grandchildren - Michael Galloway, Candace Burns, and Krystal Burns and five great-grandchildren all of Cleveland TN; and sister Elaine Giordano of Brick, NJ. He is preceded in death by his parents Martin and Eloise Corigliano, sister Joyce (Eierman), brothers Adam and Eugene (Soules), and Warren (Hamilton).
It was Marty's wish to be cremated and to have his ashes scattered. The family is having a small service and scattering at sea with limited seating.
