Martin's obituary
This morning at 4:20am, our beloved step-pops, Martin, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, love, his favorite music and his favorite time of day 4/20. ❤️ 🌲
Martin was a fun-loving, passionate, and humble man who faced more than his share of medical challenges over the years with incredible resilience. Despite it all, he lived a full and happy life up until his sudden cardiac event.
He proudly served in the Marine Corps during Vietnam, carrying that same strength, grit, and loyalty into every part of his life. Above all, he wanted nothing more than for the people he loved to be happy and safe.
After his cardiac arrest, he was placed on life support, but it became clear recovery wasn’t possible in the way he would have wanted. We let him go gently, surrounded by everything and everyone he loved. Thank you to all of the amazing nurses, doctors, and staff that helped to keep him comfortable.
We’ll miss him more than words can say, but we’re so grateful for the love, laughter, and strength he gave us. His spirit of love with always be with us.💙🩵💜
