Marty's obituary

Marty, 79, of Sonora, CA, passed away peacefully at home on October 3, 2025. He was surrounded by his wife and daughter Monica, at the time of his passing.

Marty was predeceased by his parents Thorlief and Eleanor Andresen and sister Diane Goldsmith. He is survived by his wife Agnes "Aggie" Andresen, daughters Monica Andresen and Marisa Aalfs, son-in-law David Aalfs,  grandchildren: Lauren, Jonathan and Jacob Aalfs, siblings and their spouses: Rich (Carol), Larry, Lou (Tom) Hendricks, Ken (Pam), Ellen Youssif, Janet (Jeff) Cook, Nancy (Gary) Jones, Dave, and Dan (Mary).

Marty attended Robinsdale High School,  Robinsdale, Minnesota, graduating in 1964. He then joined the United States Navy and served from August 1964 through 1968.  Towards the end of his service, he was stationed on Angel Island (Fort McDowell) in the San Francisco Bay, California. He met Aggie in Oakland, California. They married August 31st 1968, also in Oakland, California. He moved to Tuolumne County with Aggie and 6 month old Monica in 1974 where he remained until he passed. 

Marty was an avid outdoors man who spent much of his time in nature. His favorite areas included Dodge Ridge Ski Resort, Yosemite National Park and the Sierra Nevada Mountains and Foothills. Marty spent much of his free time walking, hiking and snow skiing.

The spreading of Marty's ashes with date and location is to be determined.
