I've grown up with Marty as my neighbor, my niece but more as a sister. ( I love you Marty )
A couple of years ago while a get together was planned I had told her I couldn't make the trip back from Arizona..... but I had as a surprise at the last moment.
Sandy had me walk up to the gazebo behind Marty while she took a picture of us but Marty didn't notice anything of me standing behind her ....so Sandy had Marty close her eyes and I came and stood right in front of Marty as a surprise..... oh boy was it ever a surprise to her.
Love you and will miss you very very much !

We are on our way to go see Mom and Grandma Marty at the nursing home in Rose Vista she's slipping away rapidly congestive heart failure and kidney failure and quite a few other different medical conditions. We are going to miss her terribly touched a lot of people you will always be in our hearts
Bill Dillon introduced me to Marty in 1982 or 1983 when he and I were attending Capitol Beauty School together. Of course, I instantly loved her. I had moved here on my own to go to Capitol and she became my "Mom away from home". She has always claimed all of my kids as her grandchildren which has always meant so much to me, and has always had a special relationship with my 2nd child, Courtney--they have shared a love of Elvis since Courtney was about 4. My husband is very shy, but not around her, of course! At the last reunion, Marty was sick so we were only able to visit her for a few minutes--Dave and I had our little granddaughter who was so excited to at least get to wave to Grandma Marty--when we talk about her grandmas we always talk about Grandma Marty. Marty has been a mother figure to me as well as my very special friend. I love her so much, she means the world to me and I will miss her forever. She is living proof that you can change the world right from your own living room. ♥️♥️♥️
