Martha's obituary
Martha Cecilia Froude passed away peacefully on April 9th in Venice, Florida after courageously battling ALS for the last 2 years.
Martha was Born on April 30th 1953, in Guayaquil, Ecuador to Gustavo and Maruja Silva.
She immigrated at 10 years old in 1963 to the US. Martha raised her 3 children in South Brunswick, NJ and worked at the local police department for many years. She later moved to Humble, Texas with her husband Kenneth Froude where she worked and ultimately retired from the Harris County Board of Ed. In her retirement, she moved to Nokomis, Florida where they enjoyed days on the beach and nights exploring western Florida.
Martha loved to spend time cooking and sharing love through making her amazing recipes with family and loved ones. Martha’s joy and laughter always lit up a room. She was known for turning any silly situation into a song. Martha had a charismatic personality and made new friends wherever she went. She found joy in boating, crocheting, golfing, spending time swimming and enjoying movies with friends and the ones she loved.
She is survived by her Husband Kenneth Froude of Nokomis, Florida , her 3 children from her first marriage son Adrian Burgos of Freehold NJ and his fiancé Jacqueline Diana, her daughter Raquel Listner and her husband Mike of Chester NJ, her daughter Candice Hapanionek and husband Marc of Woodlands Texas , her Brother Gustavo Silva of Guayaquil Ecuador, brother Antonio Silva of Columbus, NJ, and 6 grandchildren , Cole, Dane , Cecilia, Vivienne, Lukas and Jakob.
Services will be held on April 30th 2025 at St Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Monmouth Junction NJ at 9:30 am. Internment immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery in Jamesburg NJ.
