Martha and I shared the same birthday date. She, Melinda and I would celebrate together on or close to the date. I miss Melinda being here to celebrate with me. But I know she is in a better place and she is celebrating with me in heaven.
Words cannot describe who Sis. Martha was to me. Her contagious personality, love of people, and comprehensive care cannot be told in a moment. If anything, I will forever remember Penelope the Clown, her beautiful soprano, and the first time she pulled me to sing Beulah Land. I remember saying, I'm not doing it because it's not my style (country). Of course, she didn't listen to me but made me feel so convicted with phrases like "Let the good Lord use you," " tomorrow is not promise," while in her way still had me learning the song. Sis. Martha will forever be the person who brought laughter into my life. Knowing that I did not have my immediate family around me, she made sure I knew that in the church, she was also my family. I will miss her hugs 🤗
The bright light that shone from Martha’s life was the love of God, family, friends and Life!! She was a very special lady, one of a kind and an example of someone with the true meaning of JOY - Jesus first, others second and yourself last. We Loved her sweet potato pie along with her sense of humor! It was a blessing to know Martha and she will be greatly missed! Our deepest sympathy and prayers for Peace & Comfort from God to her family and close friends. Love, Becky & Steve Schwendeman in Ohio

Healing Heart Ministries will truly miss Martha as a team member our secretary and one of our speakers at our Ladies Power Weekends. She was a jewel of a Christian lady, a dear friend, great secretary and a awesome speaker for her sessions. She was always kind, considerate and respectful of others whether they were rich or poor she poured her heart into their lives to help them heal.

So sad . I always hoped to meet her someday . I loved talking with her through Facebook . Loved watching her with that Grandbaby !

It’s tough- every day I’ve thought “Oh I need to call Martha—very hard -almost like a dream! I could write a book.  We talked, even if it was a couple minutes, almost daily! Was looking for flights and about to book one for January…. We were so close and could talk and discuss things,

.  We knew neither of us would share what the other one talked about….I really can’t imagine not talking anymore…BUT have the Peace of God she has kept the Faith and her reward is great!  A Christian, caring, loving, doing for people- classy,  loving, kind - OUR FAMILY WILL TRULY MISS HER.  I’ll never forget surprising her and taking a detour by Niagara Falls when she came to Michigan and another time taking her to Mackinaw City— I loved seeing her happy and enjoying places she wanted to visit,!!!  Her Faith was in God!! My heart is breaking but I plan on seeing her again!   Ron and Thelma Prather - Angela and Colleen

It is soo hard for me to wrap my mind around this thought of Martha !! Soo shocking ! ⭐️🪁

She and I both from Bogalusa and sat in the same elementary classes from the 1-5 grade at Pleasant Hill School !! I remember she lived right across the street and I thought it was Soo neat she could walk home for lunch !! We shared so many childhood memories!

Her sister Patricia whom we all love and admire,  and my sister Betty were Best friends and that brought our hearts even closer !

I have enjoyed her wise and also her comical comments that still make me laugh out loud and letters ..

She was a brilliant person and knowing how to add flavors from the heart I will never forget !! I always wished she and I could live closer!

❤️🎄⭐️

One of her statements I will carry in my heart always and shows what a caring person she was ..

“Throw kindness around like Confetti”!

I love you Martha and part of me has gone with you!! 🪁🪁⭐️♥️

You have loved and lived well !!

She loved Jesus and her family more than anything and it showed in all she did !

My prayers are with her children and family whom she loved dearly with all her ❤️ heart ❤️

Until we meet again my dear dear friend Martha ...I love you to the stars ⭐️

We lost a family member and we will miss her so much. Martha was so thoughtful and caring. We love her dearly.
My deepest condolences to the family. She was very loving and caring. The sweetest always made me feel welcomed in her presence and in the house of the Lord. Never treated me as a stranger from the first day I entered Dekalb United Pentecostal Church
Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow. May looking back in memory help comfort your tomorrow. Wish to extend my heartfelt condolences on the untimely loss of your mother. May the beautiful memories last forever.
