I just heard of Marta's passing today. We were childhood friends at Freedom Theater, abd when I moved to Texas in the early 2000s, her family was so helpful and welcoming to me.  I moved away, and life takes over. I think we caught up about 10 years ago over a few phone calls, and I just can't believe she's gone. She made such an impact on people and I treasure our time together. Praying for her husband and her "babies," and the wonderful legacy she has left will last forever. Heartfelt Condolences 🙏🏾

My Grandmother loved Marta as a daughter…  She was a sister to my Mother.  She was my Aunt.  She was a big part of my childhood before I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area.  Her smile was infectious.  It was an Epic smile.  I loved Marta as blood loves blood.

My condolences to Marta's family. I first met Marta while we worked on the same city community projects and as a former MISD trustee who saw her dedication to all students and their families. Marta was strong willed in everything she worked on, always  giving 110 % of her heart ❤️ We became even closer these last few years  as my husband and her had appointments on the same dates. I saw the warrior in our friend she never lost her faith. I’m so thankful for our memories together. Love you Marta!

Marta could be a ball of energy. Always excited and full of energy.  Outside of my siblings she was my very first friend (I was 4 and she was 5). Although over the years our paths crossed at intervals. We shared the momentous events and whenever we were in each other's company it was like it was just yesterday. I was blessed to be able to call you friend! You will forever be missed 💕!

Marta was so full of life and shared so much joy. We take comfort in knowing she is living on eternally with our Father in heaven.

I’ll going to always remember the days you prayed a thoughtful prayer about me. And I felt the earth move under, my feet.,…,…..those were the powerful words you spoke to me at that time.

I was deeply sadden when I heard the news of Marta's passing. As time passed by, she had such a warm and friendly prececese ever since I've met her - a quality that is shared amongst her family. May you be safe and treasured in the Lord's hands.

I am so sorry to receive this news. My heart breaks for those who loved Marta! She was one of my favorite people to bump into at our kids’ school or at the grocery store. Always full of love and zest for life. Gore Family, you are in my prayers

We were heartbroken to hear of Marta’’s passing. She had such a beautiful heart and an incredible gift for lifting others up with her words and presence.
