As a family, we used to vacation at the beach in Sandbridge, VA. My baby son, Peter, was sitting on the sand at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. The waves started to pull him out, and my sister Marta rushed over into the ocean to save him, and broke her big toe in the process.
