With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Marshal Waldman, a cherished figure, loving husband, father, and grandfather. Born on November 27, 1943, Marshal left us on July 27, 2025, leaving a void in our hearts and lives.
Marshal was known for his outgoing, friendly, and adventurous disposition. An unwavering lover of oldies and big band music, particularly Artie Shaw, Marshal spent many a day recording big band music and old rock n roll for his radio show. A fan of the television show Have Gone Will Travel, and the movie A Summer Place, Marshal had a taste for classics that transcended into his love for food, with Chinese cuisine being a particular favorite of his.
A proud and loyal supporter of The Brooklyn Dodgers, Marshal also enjoyed the intellectual rigor of playing Scrabble and poker. He found peace and solace in his walks, marking it as his favorite way to exercise. Among his treasured vacation spots was the tranquil charm of the West. He moved out west.
Marshal's life was a testament to surviving against all odds. He was a firm believer in the power of resilience, often sharing his life lessons about surviving at all costs. His family and his old radio show were his most significant achievements, among many… a testament to his persona. His legacy lives on through his loving family.
He is survived by his partner, Samantha Ames, his daughters, Michelle and Marna, and son Bryan. His memory will also live on in his grandchildren; Megan, Brandon, Sydney, Ryan, Kyle and Rachel.
A man of resilient spirit, Marshal Waldman, will be dearly missed. His life and lessons will continue to inspire and guide us, and his memory will forever hold a cherished place in our hearts.
