Opelika - Mary Margaret Gibson died September 5, 2022, from complications following a short illness. Born in Jackson, Alabama on October 12, 1936, she was the only daughter of Edgar J. and Georgia B. Scott.
After graduating from Emory University in 1966 with a degree in nursing, she practiced her profession in northeast Alabama and South Carolina for nearly four decades. Mary Margaret and her family lived throughout South Carolina -- in Kingstree, Sumter, and …
