Marret's obituary
Marret E. Krebs was born in Portland, Oregon on December 10, 1956 and passe away on April 22nd, 2024 at the age of 67. She passed away in Goleta, Santa Barbara Co. She had two sisters, Gesa and Marion and a brother, Sunny. Her mother was Elfie Martens and her father, Marty Martens.
Marret graduated from Edison High School in Huntington Beach in 1975. She played many sports in high school and her favorite sport was volleyball in which she excelled and received awards in.
Her life was a full and rich life with many loved ones by her side in the past few years as cancer tried to take her away from us. She was a fighter. She knew only Jesus could call her home. Marret felt she had two homes: her earthly home and her heavenly home. She wanted to take as many souls as she could to heaven with her so she kept spreading God's love here on earth.
Marret was a teacher for 21 years. She taught kindergarten, first grade and reading at Monte Vista Elementary School. She adored her students. Prior to teaching, she did daycare out of their home for 2 1/2 years. Marret attended Cal State Long Beach where she earned her social work degree. Several years later, she went back to school and received her teaching credential at UCSB while Krystin and Kyle were young.
Marret also worked along side Bill in their insurance business for several years before childcare and teaching. She held a variety of different jobs over the years before marrying Bill on June 30, 1984. She became pregnant with Krystin and gave birth to her on March 16, 1987. Kyle followed on May 25, 1989.
Marret played volleyball for 13 years. She also loved to snow ski, play racquetball, do karat, bike ride with Bill and many other sports over the years. Her hobbies included: embroidery, needlepoint, knitting. Over the years. In karate, she won second place in the world competition for kumite in New Orleans.
Life to Marret was about bringing people to loving God. She attended Calvary Chapel SB, Reality and South Coast Church. Marret loved being on different worship teams at Calvary Chapel. Living life was all about Jesus. Her heart was on fire for Him and spreading his love.
Marret loved her family. Her family was the most important part of her life. She is survived by: Bill, Krystin and Kyle, her mom, brother, sister Marion and brother-in-law Terry and their children, sister-in-law Laura, brothers -in-law Bob and David and their families. Bill was her rock and soulmate whom she loved deeply for over 40 years. Krystin was an awesome and loving daughter and Kyle was an awesome and loving son too. They shared so many precious moments together over the years and enjoyed traveling to different places around the world.
Marret will miss all of her friends and family and prays to see all of them in Heaven.
