Marquise's obituary
Marquise Ladell Browner, born on January 23, 2003, passed away on January 3, 2025, at the age of 21. His life, though brief, was filled with love, faith, and creativity that touched the hearts of many.
Marquise was the cherished son of his adopted parents, Roy and Elanor Holiday, and at the age of 17 he reconnected with his biological parents, Roy Browner and Geneice Holiday. He leaves behind his beloved sisters Atlantis, Hope, Faith, Brianna, and Genesis; his adopted sisters Angela Jones (and her husband Bennie Jones) and Freda; and his brothers Jr. and Lorenzo. Marquise also leaves behind a large extended family of uncles, aunts, cousins, and loved ones who will deeply miss him.
Marquise’s educational journey began at Burton Academy (K-5), continued at ACA (grades 6-8), and culminated in his graduation from Everman High School in May 2022. A dedicated student with a bright future ahead of him, Marquise achieved much in his short time with us. At an early age he was in pathfinders at Arlington Seventh-day Adventist Church. He played basketball his freshman year at Everman High School.
A man of faith, Marquise was baptized in 2024 at Forest Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church. His love for God was evident in the way he lived his life. He was also known for his passion for music—especially rap—and dreamed of becoming an artist who would inspire others through his words. Writing and music were not just hobbies for Marquise but expressions of his soul.
Above all else, Marquise’s love for his sisters was boundless and unmeasurable. His family remembers him as a pathfinder with a kind heart who brought joy to those around him. His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled.
May Marquise’s memory be a source of comfort to all who knew him and a reminder of the love he shared during his time with us.
