I think about Marquex always throughout the year. He used to say three things that I have now incorporated into my vocabulary and life. “Cool beans “teamwork makes the dream work and it takes one to know one. “
Anytime I would complement him he would tell me “it takes one to know one. “
My husband and I were just remembering him the other day and talking about what a brilliant and inspirational human being he was. We will always love him, always miss him, and never ever forget him.

Loving family- I received this an email from this site today. It was as if God answered my prayers because my heart has been heavy. Most of us have been experiencing delayed grief with loss of our beloved Marquex. I know that I “held off” my grief because of the overwhelming sadness and shock. We have all grieved the loss of Marquex- our son, our brother, our cousin, our nephew and our friend differently. However, I know that I have not moved on, I have learned to give my pain and sadness to God. He will work it out for all of us. Therefore, we can welcome sadness and hurt not hold off from it because that’s the only way we may be healed. I must admit that it’s easy to isolate ourselves and not cope. Today, I want to reach out and send my love, and just acknowledge that our Marquex will be missed but never forgotten. Love you family, and my God continue to keep each of us.

Today is July 9,2022 and is the first year of Marquex’s passing. I really don’t know what to say other than you are surely missed. Continued fond memories always.

You were on my spirit heavily today. My French lesson buddy and forever favourite RA and fellow Buc. I will miss you yelling out my name just so I could tease that I can always hear that laugh a mile away before I ever see your face. Can't believe that smile and laugh will be only a memory. It was an honour encountering your spirit and light and seeing you grow into such brilliance. Rest in power my friend. You are loved and appreciated more than you can imagine.

Today is Marquex 41st birthday and what I had the most fun with him and my family was when we would go camping. We often celebrated all of my children that were born in May and June as a joint family adventure. And each year it got bigger and we began to invite other friends and family and became an annual event. Everyone always enjoyed themselves. Although Marquex and his younger brother BB are no longer with us our fond memories are always the same,

My condolences to Marquex family. I wanted to share a couple of memories. I worked at Apple and every time I ran into him he was always smiling. We always had small talk in passing but he was always so nice and humble. We also did a volunteer event a few years back in a large group together cleaning up trees near the Sacramento River. I have some pictures to share. We are returning to work soon and settling in and knowing he will be a face I will not see anymore makes it tough. Just know he will never be forgotten.

I know that many people have moved on with their lives but, many of us are still adjusting and grieving the loss of Marquex. We particularly want to say “Have a wonderful Holiday” with loved ones and family. Lets remember Marquex as we give thanks for everything that we enjoy in our lives.

I learned great things from Marquex. He taught me not to take life too seriously and when things are going badly find something to laugh about. He could always flip a negative into a positive. When I would get stressed out he would laugh and then say something really positive. He always made me laugh and smile. I don’t think I’ll ever quit missing him.
