Marquetta Green, 70,  passed away peacefully on August 22, 2022.

Marquetta, born on August 12, 1952, in Mt. Hebron, Alabama, immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. Marquetta went on to graduate from Paramount High School in 1970.  After graduating from high school, Marquetta relocated to Detroit, MI.   Marquetta married at a young age and had two sons, Cleo and Elgernon.   Marquetta was a fiercely dedicated mom to her children, raising them to always put God first and to go on to accomplish great things.   Family came first and was above all else to Marquetta, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.

Marquetta was predeceased by  her parents,  Herman and Addene Byrd,  sister Della and brother Arlanzo.  She is survived by her children; Cleo Green (LaToya), Elgernon Green (Shameka),  her grandchildren; Chardazia, Elgernon Jr, Caleb, Kayla, and Kyla, her great grandchild, Logan.
