I was so sorry to hear about Marlys's passing. She was such a happy and caring person. I met her at the bank where I worked and she would come in frequently to do her banking , she would bring her family in also whenever they needed help and was so great to meet with her and a pleasure to do business with her and her family. I have since retired and had not seen her since Covid but certainly she was well liked and will be missed by all of the staff at Mission Grove, Condolences to husband Rick and all of her wonderful family.

What a tremendous loss. I have the privilege and honor having met Marlys and immediate loved her and the Whipple family. I understood why the Whipple family is so amazing and it was because of Marlys. Never saw her without a smile on her face and her welcoming and loving spirit. Wishing we had visited more often but I will never forget the visits we had together. Heaven has gained a true Angel.

I have been Marlys & Rick's tax person for the last 20 plus years. I talked to Marlys at least twice a month and she was always so happy and positive. She would ask me every year, "Ron, am I getting a million dollars back?" and I would say "Did you pay a million dollars in?" and she would say "No, but I think they should give it to me". I enjoyed working with her and when I had to go out to her office, I was always there longer than I had planned because Marlys would talk my ear off. I am going to miss that. I send my condolences to the Whipple Family and to all who knew this sweet, bubbly, and positive person.

Marlys was a special friend and person. We met when I was 23 at UCLA and carried the friendship forward for 48 years. She was the friend who helped you after cataract surgery; she was the friend who helped watch twin infant grandbabies (she excelled at being a G’Ma); she was the friend who treated you to a spa day….. I could go on and on. Marlys and Margaritas with Mexican food go hand in hand as does the Pacific Ocean. It was always fun to meet up and catch up on family and life. Blessings be upon you dear friend and so glad our lives intersected. I know mine if richer for it.
