Marlene Thompson, 76, of Camden, SC and Norwalk, CT, departed this life on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at home in Camden, SC.

Marlene was born on May 4, 1943 in Camden, SC to the late Catherine Brooks and Robert Massey.

She graduated from Norwalk High School in 1961. Later she was hired at TransLux and retired there after 30 years of service.

Marlene was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Norwalk,CT. She was also an active member and Mother of Abundant Life Church in Camden, SC.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed shopping, caring for other and just enjoying life.

Marlene is survived by son Keith, granddaughter Lachelle, brothers Marion, Willie and Charles.

A celebration of Ms. Thompson’s life will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2020 at 11:00 AM, Abundant Life Church, 804 Laurens St. Camden, CT. The service will also be live streamed on Facebook.
