Marlene's obituary
She was born December 20th, 1941 in Remus, Michigan, to Lester Root and Violet Mae Esch. Marlene was a 1960 graduate of Haslett High School. Marlene lived in California for a short time before moving back to Michigan to be with family. She spent time working various jobs before settling in the healthcare field.
She enjoyed everything Nascar (Jeff Gordon specifically), playing bingo and having breakfast with friends every chance she got. She loved every aspect of being "GG" to her grand and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Kim Featherly, Stanley Sutherland, and Lisa (Kelly) Dulac, nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Siblings: Robert Root, Richard (Susie) Root, Carol (Donald) Sowle, Ronald (Betty) Root, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
