Marlene's obituary
Marlene was born on December 12,1952 in Detroit, Mi to the parents of George and Kathleen (Tegels) Kucsulain. She grew up in Berkley, Mi where she attended Berkley High where she met the love of her life, Hugh and her closest childhood friends. She married Hugh Gorlitz on April 14,1971. They relocated to Waterford in 1979 raising their 2 daughters, Heather and Rebecca, beside their amazing neighbors and close friends for almost 30 years.
Marlene truly loved life, bringing out the best in people that she touched. She enjoyed being around her family and friends, cooking, bowling, boating and traveling. She especially enjoyed being around her grandsons, always entertaining them, bringing smiles and laughter to her families faces with her charismatic, affectionate and unconditional love of them. Her smile and charm will be greatly missed.
Marlene is survived by her loving husband of 49 years Hugh Gorlitz, daughters, Heather (Seamus) Kennedy, Rebecca (Brian) Childers, grandsons Kyle and Brendan Kennedy, and Landon Childers. Sister Michelle (Bob) Hope, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, George and Kathleen, Brother Mike (Linda) Kucsulain, sister Connie (Steve) Barber, brother Larry Kucsulain and brother Kevin
