Update from Oct. 15, 2024
Hello Friends and Family! I am writing with exciting news from beautiful San Miniato, Italy, having walked 18.6 miles today from Lucca. Together with a group of 21 women, I am walking over 10000kms from Switzerland’s Bourg St Pierre to Rome to fundraise for Cycle for Survival. November 19, 2024 will mark 3 years since Markus passed. I am certain that he would have been leading the charge on this adventure, and always take the opportunity to remember him by doing the things he loved. We have been so successful raising money for this great cause in the past thanks to all of your generosity and kindness. If you would consider a donation to this great cause, it would mean a great deal to the Rodlauer family to continue making a difference in Markus' name. Thank you all for your unconditional love, support, and generosity. Your friendship means the world to us.

Update from May 1, 2022
Hello friends and family,
With Markus' birthday a few days away, I would like to share a fundraising effort I will be making in support of Cycle for Survival later this month. This is the same charity we supported for Markus' memorial gifts, which combined to over raise over 11k for rare cancer research. Like last time, we will be raising money for Team Julian, in Markus' name.
Julian Fraser was Markus' godson, who passed away in 2017 at the age of 20 after an eleven month battle against osteosarcoma, a rare cancer. The Rodlauers and Frasers met in Warsaw, Poland in February of 1994 and have remained loving friends ever since.
Julian's father Alec and friend Jamie Meehan recently completed a coast to coast bike ride to benefit rare cancer research, culminating in the Julian Fraser Memorial Water Polo Tournament at Santa Clara University (where Julian was a star water polo player).
For those who gave in November, we thank you so much for your generosity. We were blown away by how much money we were able to raise for this cause which meant so much to Markus. Lets keep going! Link below to my page, please do not feel obligated, but any donations would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks to all for your support,
Andres

All - we have added the livestream link for Markus' Celebration of Life to the "Events" tab of the page. The stream will be via Zoom. You may need an account to access, so if you do not already have one it may ask you to create a profile.
Update from Nov. 30, 2021
Hi all, providing some additional details for Markus’ celebration of life. Given the worsening covid environment, for the safety and peace of mind of all attending, we ask that everyone take a covid test prior to the ceremony (we have found the CVS take-home tests to be convenient) Additionally, per Montgomery county rules, we will plan to wear masks during the event. Weather permitting, there will also be an outdoor area available.
We will be providing a zoom link before Sunday for those joining virtually
