Mark, 62, of Houston, TX died unexpectedly on January 13, 2024, from natural causes. His loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened by his passing.

Mark was born on August 26, 1961, to Virginia and Donald Wicks in Summit, New Jersey. Mark attended Deleware Valley Regional High School In New Jersey. After graduating high school, Mark moved to Houston, Texas with his brother Donald Wicks in 1980.  In 1984, Mark and his brother Donald started a business together, The Hot Bagel Shop. Mark met his wife Vickie Lee Corder Wicks in Houston and got Married on April 11th, 1987. They had two beautiful daughters Laura Wicks and Sarah Wicks. Mark dedicated the next 40 years of his life working at The Hot Bagel Shop until his sudden death on January 13th, 2024. Anyone who knew Mark knew that he was a kind, brilliant, hardworking man who dedicated his life to his business. He had an immense passion for fixing anything that broke and was always someone his daughters could rely on. Mark’s family and friends will miss him more than words can say and his memory will always live on through his business and in our thoughts. Mark is survived by his mother Virginia Wicks, his brother Donald Wicks, and his two daughters Laura Wicks and Sarah Wicks. 

There will be a viewing held on Thursday, January 25th from 1 pm - 9 pm at Santana Funeral Directors located at 5325 Katy Fwy Houston, Texas 77007. Anyone who knew Mark or our family is welcome to attend.
