Mark's obituary
Mark Edward Stolt passed away on January 8th, 2023, in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
Mark was the oldest son of Verner and Carol Stolt. He grew up on the family farm between Drake and Anamoose ND. He attended Drake Public School and worked on the family farm. He completed his schooling in Anaconda, Montana where he also learned a trade of Mechanics and Welding.
Mark joined the North Dakota Army National Guard and was active from 1978 – 1982. Mark was Honorably Discharged in 1982.
He then moved to the Wyoming/Utah area where he found his love of the mountains and he started his family. Job opportunities brought him back to the ND area from time to time, but his love of the mountains always took him back to the Wyoming area. In 2003 he married Teresa Ball in Ogden, Utah.
Mark was an avid motorcycle rider, and one would say that is where he felt the most joy. Mark loved driving Semi/Over-the-road jobs. His last job in 2013 took him to Oklahoma City with a construction company. While he was in Oklahoma City, Mark sustained a TBI which almost ended his life. He fought hard to be with us a few years longer. The last several years Mark resided at a facility in Rock Springs Wyoming called Life Skills Wyoming. He thrived in this facility and made numerous friends.
This is a quote from the Life Skills Facility:
“Mark will always be remembered by us for his joyfulness and sense of humor! Mark loved to dance and was an avid rock collector. He could always bring a smile to any room he entered. It is so hard to say goodbye, but we know we will see you again someday!”
