Mark's obituary
The passing of Mark Racicot has affected all who loved him. Born on August 25, 1950, Mark left us on June 14, 2021. He is survived by his loving daughter, Charlotte Racicot and daughter Marci Sheehan.
A very active member at St. Anthony's Church in Longview, tx. Mark was deeply committed to his Catholic faith. He was a Sunday school teacher for 8th graders. He lent his efforts as a volunteer at the Knights of Columbus for many years. Mark lived a life of service, whether it was to his church, his work, or his family.
Mark's passions ran deep. His love for his daughters was unmatched. He loved cats and was an excellent drummer. He even paid for his first drum set. An avid supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and a good beer. He also enjoyed watching Mystery Science Theater with his daughter and 3 brothers. Games of roof ball or any games that he could play with his daughters were always a highlight, as was spending time shooting guns with friends and family, pawn shopping with friends and family, simply being around his cats. He loved riding bikes with his daughters and spending time outdoors. He held a deep commitment for causes like St. Jude’s, and his personality was best described as funny, charismatic, and unapologetically genuine.
Mark's legacy is one of love and service. He cared for everyone he loved the best way he knew how, and he succeeded. The loved ones he affected will carry his positive qualities through generations. And as we remember Mark, we take solace in knowing that he is still with us……
And his heart is whole once again.
