It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Nickel, who died on February 3, 2025, at the age of 56. Mark was born and raised in Vidalia, Georgia, to Kathryn “Kitty” (Summerlin) Nickel, who survives him, and the late Walter “Bud” Nickel. He was preceded in death by his father, but leaves behind his beloved mother, two sisters—Lillian Nickel Thigpen and Valerie Nickel Tapley—and many cherished friends and family members who …
