Mark Wayne Lewis was born February 20, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois. He was the youngest child born to the union of Ruth & Revis Lewis. His parents and siblings, Betty, Winfred, Stanley and Norman preceded him in death.

Mark was born and raised on the westside of Chicago. He is a graduate of Manley Career Academy. He also attended Columbia College where he majored in Broadcast Communication. Mark worked as a Maintenance Technician for over 20 years and was known for his ingenuity and “make it happen” attitude.

Mark had a deep love and appreciation of music, all genres! He loved to laugh and have a good time with family and friends. Mark was an amazing cook; he made a mean caramel cake! He also loved to DJ and play Bid Whiz.

Mark was well loved and leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Ruth Ann Johnson. His ex-wife Gwendolyn Harris, daughters, Bridget (Daniel) Harris-Dubois, Lameeka Harris, Nakisha (Jevon) Hobbs. Grandchildren, Dominick, Denim, Dallas, Lamique, Malique, Jakya, Jevon, Jamilah, Jahzarah. His nieces, Sheila Johnson, Sharon Hemphill, Stephanie (Charles) Dombrowski, his nephews, Wade Hemphill (Raquel) and Rodney Johnson, life-long friends Greg Vaughn and Lee ???? and host of great nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
