Mark was a wonderful teacher because of his talent for connection and comfort. I saw this when he was my daughter Mollie’s 3rd grade teacher and when my high school writers spent time in his classroom.

And every time I ran into Mark locally, he managed to make me feel special, as though he’d been waiting to see me all day. “You’re one of the good ones,” he’d occasionally say. Damned if it didn’t make me want to be a “good one.”

Of course, Mark was the special one. Hang on to all of the beautiful stories, Kathy and family. May they give you comfort.

Met Mark and Cathy when we moved to neighborhood. Always had a friendly work for all who met him. Opened their home to us in our time of need. All our condolences to all the family. Love, Linda and Rick Baughman

Kindness, talent, and humility are a few of the timeless personality values that we experienced here in time and space with our friend forever Mark Jones.  Our hearts go out to you Kathy and your wonderful family.
Celebrating, and in memory of Mark Jones and the
Every time we went to Mark and Kathy's house there was something creative happening or about to happen. And everyone who walked through the door, young or old, experienced or novice, was invited to participate. Mark was one of the most generously and unabashedly creative people on the planet!

Mark was a kind, gentle and creative spirit and will be greatly missed but always remembered.  Our love and support abounds for Kathy and family…✨
To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live gratitude is to touch Heaven. --Johannes A. Gaertner. Markie lived touching Heaven every day. I will miss him so much.
Mark was an extraordinary person.  He was light, joy and kindness with a quick smile and soft disposition. He shared his talents and energy encouraging and inspiring artists. The way he spoke about Kathy and his grand children, the giant grin and shoulder shrug- always projecting positivity. He was one of the finest people, I am grateful for the conversations and projects we shared.  He will be greatly missed by many.

Mark was simply a pleasure to be around! I love the creative spark and attention that it takes to be an artist; it was very evident in Mark. Debra and I loved visiting Mark and Kathy at their beautiful studio. I know that many of my family and friends have been graced by the beautiful glass art, that now will be held as even more special. Much Love to Kathy and Mark’s whole tribe!

Kathy and family,

What a beautiful expression of everything  Mark. So glad we met those many years ago and found likeminded folks to spend time with.

Mark was one of a kind and truly radiated kindness with an amazing wit. Everyone one our family was touched by his enormous and loving heart. Never forgotten AND we will do our best to be “ like Mark”
