It was nice to see Mark's family at his Memorial last Saturday. It was a solemn get-together of friends and family, specially, patients and former staffs who were there to show their final respect for the man.
Mark is the one that truly believed in my potential of being a dentist, considering that I was a foreign graduate and a female. He was very professional, thought me the ropes and encouraged me not stop but just keep on learning the ever-changing aspects of Dentistry.
Thank you, Mark, for giving me the chance. I am forever grateful. You are already missed.
To Patrice and kids, please take care, be well and keep in touch.

To Patrice and family: I wish I could be there today but Florida is a long way away. You visited us long ago when we first moved here. It was great to see you guys then.
I am thinking of Mark and you guys today however. No matter how long it’s been or how far apart we are, you all are forever in my memory and Mark will always have my utmost respect for what he was able to achieve in his life. I truly miss you all and would have been there if I lived closer. Respectfully, Sergio. Phi. Alpha my brother.

My wife and I were deeply saddened to have heard the news about Mark. He was my SAE fraternity brother and later our dentist. Our condolences to his family and to the Aliso Niguel dental group.
In caring sympathy,

Dolores and I met Mark in the late 1990’s as he became our family dentist.
Don’t remember a time he was not smiling or chatty with us. Dee, myself and our son, Sean, enjoyed the time we had with Mark.

My condolences to Mark's family. I first met Mark when I was terrified about finding a new dentist when our family moved to Laguna Niguel. A friend highly recommended him and she was so right!
He was such a compassionate, knowledgeable and excellent dentist, I never left! My husband and family were also happy to find such a caring and personable dentist who shared his stories with us over the years. My husband loved talking UCLA with him.
We were sorry to learn of his passing.

I am so, soooo very saddened to hear of Mark's passing. I believe my brother Steve Risley & I were among Mark's very first patients when he established his dental practice in Laguna Niguel. I moved to Laguna Niguel from Illinois in 1987. I needed a new dentist. Boy, did I ever pick the best one ever. He was more than our dentist. He was our friend. And so was Patrice. I kept track of his health issues etc over the years. I felt so bad about the pain & struggles he had to endure. I regret greatly that I can't be there to honor & celebrate him. He was an exceptional Doctor and individual who possessed great humanity for all his patients. It was a distinct honor to know him. Rest in paradise, Mark. Your pain is over. We will miss you immensely.

I’m sad to hear this news. I knew he was suffering. Mark and I were friends, yes, he was my dentist, but we worked next door to each other for many years. We lived in the same neighborhood, our kids played sports together and I thought so much of Patrice.
I always had horses and Mark being the animal lover asked to go riding with me sometime. Funny note was he was use to showing up and having his horse ready and after a ride just leave. Well, didn’t happen with me but I think he enjoyed all of it. We laughed, had a great ride, but yes, I did all the work .
Happy trails Dr. Mark,

We were very sorry to hear of Mark’s passing, and have many good memories of him as our dentist; friend; and of other activities with Patrice and the kids for dinners; birthdays, and other special celebrations and events (e.g., support of our daughter in the productions of “Bat Boy” and “Beauty and the Beast”). Rest in peace dear friend.

We were doing karaoke at the party, and Dr.Mark decided to sing bye-bye miss American pie. That song is really really long! I went and use the restroom and then went outside and was talking to another colleague, and when we got back, he was still singing! He will surely be missed. I miss him already. We had some good laughs.
