Mark's obituary
Mark Edwin Ivey, 43, of Candler, North Carolina, passed away on February 1, 2023. He was born on August 13th, 1979, to Fred and Jo Anne Ivey. Mark graduated from Enka High School, then went on to earn a Horticulture Degree from Haywood Community College and a B.A. in Biology from Western North Carolina University. He worked for many years at his family’s business, CareMedical, Inc. before becoming the owner of the Tall Grass Hemp Company.
Mark met the love of his life, Connie Mozingo, twenty years ago. Mark and Connie went on to have a child, Isaak Cole Ivey in 2011.
Mark loved music, snowboarding, hiking, and spending time outdoors. He traveled throughout the United States visiting National Parks and following his favorite bands. He loved spending time with his many friends and family.
Mark is survived by Connie and their son, Isaak. He is also survived by his brother Freddy Ivey (Kathleen) of Alpharetta, Georgia and his sisters Kim Ivey Pascale of Atlanta, Georgia and Laura Ivey Dixon (Ryan) of Cary, North Carolina. He is survived by his five nieces: Maddie, Nicole, and Lauren Ivey, and Miller and Ella Pascale, and his nephew, Carter Nash. He is also survived by many dear friends who were family to Mark.
Mark was known for his kind and caring spirit. He was the person to call if you needed help in the middle of the night. He would do anything for those he loved, and he loved and was loved, by so many people.
