His wife, Jane’s, watercolor class didn’t know him real well. But we heard so many wonderful stories about him and we know he was a wonderful man and a wonderful husband. We were fortunate to see so many photographs of all of their travels. I think he lived a wonderful life with his family. He will be terribly missed.

Never mind I messed up an early, important date between Mark and Jane ...As only Mark could, he made a video for my wedding to Michael Keegan - a S*M*A*S*H up of loved TV intro's and moments with much of his other brilliant planning of these opportunities. I still have the tape - but no place to play it. His future of carefully planned books of travel and adventures, allowed me to continue to live vicariously through the joy and excitement of every destination with his family. One of Prince William Sound was of particular pleasure for me - as I was there. I have seen how his vision has manifested in all of his children in individual ways. Their goodness and kindness, his athleticism, his vision of visual art and planning, his open mind and love of being in love.
He is an amazing sole mate for my sister and strength for any idea of family and commitment to anyone. He and Jane sacrificed a few visits with my Mom and Dad for me - priceless.
My heart is reaching out - not breaking - as I am certain he would prefer - to be strong, love hard, go for 7 continents and bring your WHOLE family with you whenever you can. Or take lots of pictures if they can not be there.
Our lives are better, stronger, more understanding for knowing you. Love to you Mark - and of course to you all.

Learned today of Marks passing and wanted to express my sincere condolences to his family and many friends. I met and came to know Mark at Wissahickon HS as part of the class of 77. We were friends, multi-sport teammates and classmates with a shared love of the outdoors and the idea that traveling would be a neat thing to experience. At that time of his life he was recognized by many of his classmates for his god given talents and abilities along with his ever present quiet and steady demeanor within the class.
